Shipping, cancellation & refund terms

These terms apply to copies of She Was Also Born That Day ordered directly from this website. Copies bought from a retailer are covered by that retailer's own policies instead.

Who you are buying from

helpdocrati.com is operated by CMA Solutions LLP. Help Doc Rati is its brand, and Dr. Rati Khurana is the author of the book. Registered office: Kh. No. 316/274, Ground Floor, Front Side, Saidulajab, Western Marg, Near Lane No. 3, Gadaipur, South West Delhi, New Delhi 110030, India. LLPIN ACP-6029.

Paperback copies are packed and posted by hand by the author from Gurugram, Haryana, India. This is not a retail storefront. The e-book is sold by CMA Solutions LLP and paid for through Razorpay, so your card or bank statement shows CMA Solutions LLP.

Where we ship

Paperbacks ship within India only. We cannot post them abroad. Outside India, the e-book is delivered by email anywhere in the world; nothing is shipped.

Price and taxes

The price shown is ₹795 per copy. Shipping is included. Printed books are nil-rated under GST in India (HSN 4901), so no GST is added to the price of the book.

Payment

Payment is taken by Razorpay, by UPI, card or net banking. Your card, bank and UPI details go to Razorpay, never to this website. The payment is confirmed the moment it goes through, and an order is dispatched only once its payment is confirmed.

Orders placed before 7 October 2026 and paid by UPI to the author's account were checked by hand against the bank account, normally within 48 hours.

Dispatch and delivery

  • Dispatch: 3-5 working days after payment is confirmed.
  • Delivery: approximately 4-8 working days after dispatch, depending on your location.
  • A signed or inscribed copy may add a day.
  • Tracking details are emailed once the parcel is posted.

These are estimates. Courier and postal delays, public holidays and remote PIN codes can extend them, and delays outside our control are not grounds for a refund of a parcel that is still in transit.

Cancellation

You may cancel for a full refund at any time before the parcel is dispatched. Email us with your order number. Once a parcel has been handed to the courier it cannot be cancelled, though the returns terms below still apply.

An order that has been personalised with an inscription cannot be cancelled once it has been signed, because it cannot be resold.

Damaged, wrong or missing orders

If your book arrives damaged, or the wrong item arrives, email us within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photograph of the book and the packaging. We will send a replacement at no cost, or refund you in full, whichever you prefer.

If tracking shows the parcel as delivered but you have not received it, tell us within 7 days so we can raise it with the courier.

We cannot accept returns of a book that has been read and is undamaged. This is a single-title operation, not a shop with a returns desk. That does not affect your rights in respect of a defective or wrongly-supplied book.

Refunds

Approved refunds go back through Razorpay to the card, UPI ID or bank account that paid, within 7 working days of approval; your bank may take a few more days to show it. We do not issue refunds to a different account from the one that paid.

Your details

The name, address, phone number and email you give are used only to fulfil and deliver your order, and are shared with the courier for that purpose. They are not sold, and they are not added to any mailing list unless you separately ask for that. See the privacy notice.

The e-book

The e-book is sold worldwide and paid for by card, UPI or wallet through Razorpay, in the currency shown at checkout. The price is fixed per currency and shown before you pay; your bank may add its own conversion or overseas fee.

Delivery. Nothing is posted. As soon as the payment is confirmed you are taken to a download page, and the same link is emailed to you. It gives you the book as a PDF and as an EPUB, works for 30 days and for 12 downloads in total. If it lapses before you have saved the files, write to us and we will send a fresh one.

Your copy. Each copy carries the buyer's name and order number in small type at the foot of the page. It is licensed to you for your own reading on your own devices. Please do not share, resell or upload the file.

Cancellation and refunds. At checkout you ask for the book to be delivered straight away and confirm that the sale is final once you download it. That is why there is no cooling-off period after a download. Before the first download you can cancel by writing to us, and we refund in full. After it, we refund in full if a file does not open and we cannot fix it, or if you were charged twice. Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, usually within 5 to 7 working days.
